NRT for Fibromyalgia

Fibromyalgia seems to be a catch-phrase for general fatigue and achy feelings stemming from chronic inflammation that doctors don’t have any other diagnosis for. I have had a number of clients come in diagnosed with “fibromyalgia” and they have all improved and the pain vanished once the underlying causes were corrected.

Top Causes for Chronic Fatigue

  • Chronic underlying viral infection (often in the vagus nerve)

  • Allergy to the Vagus Nerve

  • Food allergies

  • Adrenal fatigue

  • Low magnesium or Vitamin D

  • Low levels of cortisol, an anti-inflammatory hormone produced by the adrenal glands, also contribute to chronic inflammation and pain. Often I find that the person’s adrenals are stressed with heavy metal toxicity or some other stressor that is easily fixed.

Solution

The vagus nerve is the parasympathetic branch of the nervous system. It controls "slow mode" functions in the body - resting, sleeping, healing, digesting, breathing, etc. It helps shut down the body at night when you are sleeping so you can fully rest and recharge your energy. However, I have found it is quite common to be allergic to it, meaning the immune system is mistakenly attacking it (auto-immune) which constantly irritates it and interferes with all the functions I just listed. Symptoms of vagus nerve interference include constipation, brain fog, fatigue, muscle aches, and insomnia. When your body cannot fully rest, it stays in a state of chronic burnout, leading to chronic fatigue. In my clinical experience, Lyme almost always causes an allergy to this nerve, but other infections such as viruses or extreme stress or physical trauma to part of the nerve (from an accident or surgery) can also trigger an allergy to this nerve.

Fortunately there is a way to clear ALL allergies including to your vagus nerve, so it can heal! Taking pain medication only covers up the symptoms, and does nothing to address the root cause. Pain medication also has side effects such as destroying the good gut bacteria which is important for digestion and immune health.

Since Fibromyalgia can have several causes, the only way to figure it out is to get a personalized health evaluation which will determine the exact causes and exactly which natural, safe methods will solve it! My chronic fatigue clients start feeling better right away, and over the course of several months we solve the underlying reasons for good so their energy levels normalize!
