NRT for Depression

Updated: Jan 7, 2024

With so many people being put on Lexapro/Zoloft/other antidepressants, depression is a commonly diagnosed condition. But even those on medication do not always experience relief. I believe we are NOT born with a Prozac deficiency; so what is the true cause?

Symptoms Include:

  • Feelings of sadness or unhappiness

  • Irritability or frustration, even over small matters

  • Loss of interest or pleasure in normal activities

  • Reduced sex drive

  • Insomnia or excessive sleeping

  • Sugar cravings & weight gain

  • Irritability or angry outbursts

  • Slowed thinking, speaking or body movements

  • Indecisiveness, distractibility and decreased concentration

  • Fatigue, tiredness and loss of energy — even small tasks may seem to require a lot of effort

  • Feelings of worthlessness or guilt, fixating on past failures or blaming yourself when things aren't going right

Top Causes of Depression

  • B6 Deficiency from MTHFR gene mutation

  • Low Thyroid

  • Low Vitamin D

  • Adrenal Fatigue

  • Allergy to Dopamine (feel-good brain chemical)

  • Food allergy such as sugar or wheat

  • Stored emotional trauma

  • Infections in brain or hypothalamus

If you or someone you know experiences depression, please know there are actual causes and always a way to fix them! Call us for an initial appointment which will check for anything that could be affecting depression, including Vitamin D levels, hidden infections, heavy metal toxicity, and any hormone allergies!

This is a subject near to my heart, as depression has run in my family. Thank God I no longer experience it at all, as I found what allergies had to be cleared, how to release all stored stress, and exactly what supplements to help my body heal! I now know depression is not something that should be part of everyday life, and definitely NOT something you have to live with forever!
